My students have never been good writers, but the quality of their writing has been decreasing over the years. This year they all started to use LLM tools to (help them) write their articles. One of the results is that there are fewer mistakes in their articles when it comes to grammar and spelling. But they’re also unbelievably boring to read.
If this is the future of written text, it will be a future without reading.
