If you don’t build the house specifically to last hundreds of years, it will not. There is no where to go get dense old growth lumber.
Stick builds are not a permanent solution. It’s not a trivial thing to build a structure that will last centuries reliably. There is no easy or affordable way to do it. So it would be a difficult, risky and expensive project with a lot of unknowns. There are no tradesman doing this type of work and no architects to make good plans, building something other than a standard stick framed house would conflict with a lot of codes and building standards.
I don’t think it’s right but I’m just stating the facts. It’s not as simple as building something to last. It’s a whole thing getting it done in reality.
