Bitcoin maximalism is a centralization attack on PoW cryptocurrency as a phenomena, stalling innovation and multiplicity. Maximalism is disguised as a cypherpunk movement when in fact it is the opposite. Why? Because when power is concentrated, throughout history, it is always the bad guys. Somehow these maxis have been able to ride on their early reputation of cypherpunkism and toxicity. I think toxicity is good as a phenomena, because it criticises. But when the toxic people only support one religion (maximalism), then they are no longer toxic, they are merely religious statists. I hope Bitcoin maximalists realise they are just tools of a centralizing machine, and stop being that.
