The ARRL’s s Statement on the FCC and the 900 mhz band rule change request that could impact unlicensed use for Meshtastic and other projects that we care about.
For context, one of the roles of the ARRL is that functions as a lobby group for amateur radio operators in the United States. I am providing this link for informational purposes as it relates to radio spectrum that we use for mesh networks.
⚡️⚡️⚡️One of my medium to long term goals is to get enough of us into radio that when issues like this arise we can effectively get our voices with our ethos leading the conversation. The ethos that I am referring to is that “Radio is a decentralized freedom technology” and “we should be free to continue to develop it in that direction”. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
