I don't want anyone else to live through the pain I'm experiencing right now.

Please:
- Check your smoke alarms,
- Work out your escape routes in case of a fire (that's plural routes in case of fires in different areas).
-Practice your escape routes.
-Know where your keys are when you go to bed, and make sure you can grab them on the way to your escape routes.

Whatever you do, please do not take the batteries out of your smoke alarms because they annoy you.
