Could a social media company ever be co-opted by National security interests? Why might it be in their interests to do that? Would they use fake AI accounts to subtly shift and steer conversation? Could they analyze users history to target or identify users with dangerous ideas deemed a threat? Would they actively spin up user accounts with fake history and engage with users and probe them for further information? Could this be used for good? Could this be used for bad?
