What is it with the whole "We must stop #squirrels eating the #bird food!" thing?
As accepted wisdom goes this is just as much bunk as most.
What people mean is: I must stop these small mammals from eating seeds I spent money on for only birds to eat.
Every year I recover the bodies of dead urban squirrels that died of starvation. Birds can fly much further afield than an urban squirrel can travel, due to busy roads (cars... again).
So you feed creatures based on FASHION? Feed all or none.
