I think there's a serious lack of interest among degenerate 1st world countries in improving things... which is why these countries are on the decline.
The poorest of the poor in first world countries are often still spoilt for opportunities and comfort compared to 3rd world countries and so have little drive to get ahead. And when they do have drive, because of the culture it's only a drive to achieve access to degenerate fiat things.
I don't know what the solution is, but I think the above is part of the reason why no one is trying to build circular Bitcoin economies in a North American ghetto.
