I used to think it was a moral failing to block people on social media I disagree with or who aggravate me with how they express themself. After all, part of living in a society is getting along with those you disagree with.

But social media connects you to people at an unnatural scale. It's not reasonable to ask people to constantly deal with disagreement/conflict. So I block very liberally these days, and reserve my patience and conflict resolution skills for people I'm in relationship with.
