Canada is currently 15% nuclear, so 95M MWh/year. All of the spent nuclear fuel from the entire Canadian commercial nuclear power program since the first reactor in the 60s could fill 10 Olympic swimming pools. Which seems like a lot.
but for comparison's sake, an Olympic swimming pool is 2.5M L. If filled with household garbage it would hold ~1200 tons worth. Toronto sends *two* of those to landfill every. single. day.
