Through no fault of his own, Duke has been returned.😢 I picked him last week from his adoptive family - it just didn’t work out and that sometimes happens.
The adoptive family was advised to start the heartworm treatment, but they didn’t. So we will.
But we need your help.
The treatment costs $38,000 pesos. Which, depending on the exchange rate, is $3000CDN.😫😳. I know it’s a lot and can be done cheaper but this is what we need for this particular dog. We don’t have a foster for him so it’s ON US. The treatment includes two, 24 day stays at the vet after injections. This will be safer for him and a break for us. We have 4 dogs of our own - 2 are seniors and require extra attention and care. Especially Holly.😢
We have $1000 CDN left from previous donations so the balance required is $2000.
I hate asking for help/donations but we can’t foot this bill on our own.
Duke is a sweet, gentle soul and deserves to be healthy and with a great family.
