I bought Dragon Quest XI during the Steam Christmas sale and I've been playing on my Steam Deck since... I really love how this game paid homage to its many classics. I haven't played the rest of the series (yet) but even in 3D mode, I can just feel a rich legacy at play.
Plus, the way it's designed just FEELS retro in the best ways, with some of the QoL improvements JRPGs got over time.
This game is how you do a modern entry in a classic retro franchise!
