Not sure what the distance was when we evacuated. The fire ended up within about 1,000 feet of the property line after we left.

I had a bad nightmare that night, but it wasn't about the fire at all. It was about the people I evacuated with, the people I thought were my friends but didn't seem interested in talking to me. That's the part I have trauma over-- a natural disaster is bad enough, and being unsupported and feeling isolated in the middle of one makes it so much worse.
