I am taking an Excel class this term and I am not sure that I have ever been more humbled. I literally told my advisor that I expected to finish this class in about three days. What I am learning, besides way too much about financial forecasting and amortization, is that I have lived with a very “seventh grade” understanding of Excel and that graduate-level Excel is basically a programming language built on spreadsheets and pain.
