I see.
I'm 61 with zero health issues.
I'm not taking any meds.
I have relatives and family who have diabetes and other health issues...
It's not genetics that cause disease.
It's diet and lifestyle (which generally mimic the same patterns as our family/ancestors) and heeding advice from corrupt MDs who are monetarily incentivized to keep patients sick.
At the age of 30, I got into yoga and ayurveda holistic medicine... My diet and fitness improved tremendously.
I'm in tune with when there is a slight imbalance and take action immediately to restore balance and stop the imbalance from snowballing into a disease.
Ayurveda has antidotes for every "vice" one may wish to follow. 😂 The key is balance.
Check out my wellness book or website blog for some tips. (Link in bio).
Also, I realize my lifestyle isn't for everyone ---I rarely drink (when I do it's 1 or 2 drinks), cook 95% of my own food (nothing processed, omnivore diet) and exercise 7 days a week (yoga, biking, slacklining, salsa dancing, walking). So....yeah...I will indulge in chocolate....in moderation 😁
I work with clients to help them restore balance... I do feel it's important to practice what I preach and also, have compassion for meeting them where they are .....and not insisting that they give up all of life's indulgences.
