A "full node" has a different meaning depending on the ecosystem.

#Bitcoin: A node that stores the entire history of the blockchain, and validates new blocks.

Ethereum: A node that stores AT LEAST many of the most recent blocks, and validates new blocks.


Even the term "archive node" has different meanings.

Bitcoin: A BTC full node that allows peers to request older blocks from them.

Ethereum: An ETH full node that stores the entire history of the chain.

So, an ETH archive node is analogous to a BTC full node.
