https://mastodon.social/@shriramk/110559714631956967, given that the CEO of reddit has supposedly said that it's never made money and reddit outsourced spam/moderation without providing good tooling for it, I wonder if there could've been a much simpler version of reddit that wasn't highly monetized that would've been able to exist indefinitely and roughly break even.
