QuikTrip needs to tone down the volume of the beeps on its gas pump keypads, which (inexplicably) get piercingly louder when you use tap-to-pay versus inserting a chip card.
I know the argument—“Accessibility! It’s a noisy environment!”—but:
1. There’s no reason for the volume to get louder depending how the card is presented, and
2. It is NOT accessibility if it actively hurts people who don’t need it.
