We all know around here that transphobia is on the rise in many places. In some of those places, we're a canary in a coal mine, but in most places, this is also linked to other kinds of upticks in violence and hostility.
Fascism is some kind of grand unified conspiracy theory full of interchangeable alien others. Wherever trans people are menaced, so other minority groups like Jews.
This is one reason that solidarity is so important.
Part of what we need to do is listen when people tell us something that's happening is fucked up.
A mod that won't listen when a Jew says something is antisemitic or a PoC says something is racist is not acting as a comrade. Somebody who ignores one bigotry will ignore others. We owe it to all our communities to demand better. To be better.
