First experiments using Apple wallet versions of SNCF/interrail tickets as created using nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqhp4m6s4h3fasxdcu46lhcqqspy6v5rnc4ny6hqd7escfsgsg4vdquamc9q (nprofile…mc9q)’s https://vdv-pkpass.magicalcodewit.ch - the SNCF seat reservation scanned correctly.
However, I was called out by the security guard at the security post in Barcelona, as he didn’t recognise the wallet pass, that didn’t have travel date or time on it, and also by the gate staff, who did scan the SNCF-branded pkpass despite the lack of data on the screen, but when their scanner asked to see the Interrail would not allow the Apple wallet version of my #Interrail pass because the code didn’t “look right”. I opened up the seat reservation pdf in the first instance, and the rail planner app in the second, and was waved through without any further scans.
I suspect the security guard would have allowed me through if the train number and date was on it, though he did mumble about time too…
I did have to fish them out of the wallet app, though, the passes didn’t show on my Lock Screen today…
