King Barf aka Ralph Klein fired the head of the AHRC and then the board disbanded, then Klein and his henchmen proceeded to privatize many provincial bodies like finance, research that were unionized, even the secretary bird Education pool. AUPE lost 4000 members, the ones in Finance and Research got HUGE "consultant incomes" and the brother of the head of the Securities Commission got a "temporary work" company that got all the 900 secretaries, who lost 12% of their income and all their benefits. WCB laid off 100 of its people who had had EI leave within the previous year. No one could go to the AHRC because it was disbanded.
