It's like, I promise you we aren't (just) weird Gen-Xers fetishizing old devices.
We literally spend every moment of our lives in our bodies engaged in tactile interaction with the material world and we are GOOD at it. And then touchscreens came along and all of our interactions were squeezed into this sparsest, narrowest, most attenuated of channels.
[I bought my car in 2013 and one of my criteria was that it have a fully physical dashboard, entirely so I can keep my eyes on the road.]
