Had a challenging client recently who had an infatuation with someone to the point of addiction. We decoded the story down to the simplest language. Using the hamster wheel framework to understand the dynamics.

She realised she was gaining control with her behaviour which gave her pleasure but with a high possibility of loss. This tightrope balance was the pleasure/ excitement point- charging her battery but with dirty fuel because when the encounter was over she felt empty.

Human behaviour is so complex but when we put the correct framework in place, we can start to see the truth and set ourselves free.
