I beg you to watch the Doechii tiny desk concert. As I said in my accidentally deleted toot, this performance is a revelation. "Triumphant" (Rolling Stone) and "star-making" (Vulture). It's a big band, and all of them are Black women, and they're all incandescent. My personal favorite is the bass player smiling with that secret bass player joy. You think you know what hip hop is? Nobody knows what hip hop is, except Doechii.
