I covered patriarchal violence against women in my first dissertation in 1991 & again for my thesis in 2020, this time focusing on coercive control. Whilst DV awareness has improved this doesn't seem to correlate with anything effective actually being done about. Is that bc most of us still live in a patriarchal society? Yep. Look at the murder of Sarah Everard, & the tone deaf policing of the vigil. To say I am still full of rage is an understatement
