I have an overwhelming sense of doom kept at bay with medication. But the world has always been ending; sometimes it goes a bit faster and that can be discouraging.

But none of it changes my duty and obligation and joy to make it a little better, a little kinder, a little prettier, in my corner of it.

I identify maybe a bit too strongly with the musicians on the deck of the Titanic these days.
