An acre of good land is 150k in my area. But if there is an 3 bed 2 bathroom rambler on it built in 1960 that piece of real estate is suddenly worth 550k. It’s just retarded.
Land should not appreciate near the rate it has been the past 50 years. It’s just an effect of fiat debasement.
My sister paid 700k for a 1100 square foot 1920’s craftsman in Seattle and it has been nothing but trouble. She’s had to get it rewired, had multiple plumbing failures, the basement floods because the foundation is fk’d up, heat pump went out, deck is rotted out. It’s just an old liability, the fact that market price was 700k is a joke.
