So. To summarise my last few months trying to find a website system that works:
- Hugo: Doesn't do images well, if you ask about this, the expectation is you spend at least 2 weeks reading documentation before you make your first website. This is considered reasonable.
- Eleventy: When I tried it none of the documentation was updated for the latest version so no default guides work. Never even got as far as even trying to work out image handling.
