Change how the money is directed, who gets paid, and who is in control over what they see, and you change the entire structure of the internet.

It’s very easy to dismiss how great the structural change is when you make seemingly humble changes to the very base elements that determine the growth pattern of the network.

I love it that on nostr when you stop to look at someone’s note, article, video, etc, it doesn’t automatically benefit them financially by way of views and impressions. If it turns out to be a good post I like, then I can zap it. But if it’s just crap, then why would I want it to benefit them that I paid it a little attention? On other platforms it would help them toward earning ad revenue. But I n nostr, it doesn’t help them at all because as soon as I realize it’s crap, I keep scrolling and give them nothing. 😂🫡
