I'm not perfect, but I try not to be an annoying reply guy on #Mastodon. Here are some tips - before you reply to a post, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Are you trying to educate the author with your reply? Did the author ask to be educated? If not, don't.

2. Are you trying to show off or flex your own background or education or experience with your reply? If so, don't.

3. Are you trying to make a post which wasn't about you all of a sudden about you? If so, don't.
