Watching "The Rebellious Life of Rosa Parks" on NBC Peacock streaming. My grandmother lived 15 miles away from Abbeville where Recy Taylor's assailants were not indicted by 2 grand juries. My family and schooling told me _nothing_ about this horrible history whose injustice helped lead to the civil right movement and the Montgomery bus boycott.
Learned this and just found out about the 2011 apology for lack of prosecution.
I should have known about this history.
