Best use of existing signage I ever encountered was The InDisCo, back during disco days. No idea which came first, but I danced there more than once and knew it as a disco joint.
Drove by during the day some years later. The dance platform had tractors displayed on it. "Industrial Instrument Company." They hadn't changed the sign.
