A former director of the Swedish Royal Coin Cabinet was found guilty of massive #theft from the #museum collection a few years back. A younger employee was also accused, but walked free because the museum couldn't document whether his many thefts had taken place within the statute of limitation.
A few of days ago he was sentenced to pay damages of over SEK 1.5 million for *selling* #coins stolen at an undermined date from the museum. That's over €133,000 or $142,000.
