Loliphile (npub1m74…fjya) I assume that Splatoon 1 being on a different console than its successor is likely part of that, since there's probably a decent portion of players who didn't have a switch or who preferred the wii u's controls, ergonomics, etc. Plus the first thing in a franchise almost always has more of a nostalgia factor than the second.
Isn't splat3 seen as pretty much a straight upgrade to 2, too?
