I suppose an introduction is in order (it's long overdue). Not much to say about myself, I just so happen to have caught wind of this community a few months back, and I've been waiting for the right moment to drop in and say hello, I suppose...
I come from a community formerly known as Flote, and I noticed some people I followed here, also have a similar background. And as much as I wouldn't mind using the #grownostr hashtag, but I fear I'm a little too late for that now. Although I noticed it's been used quite commonly by homesteaders/preppers. But I guess as long as the tag is non-specific and a general introduction as to what people on here are really all on about, I guess I'll make use of it.
I'm a content creator (I started this on YouTube during the 2008 period, before it sold us out.), and I've been doing this business free of charge and roughly for almost 15 years, and I don't plan on stopping now. I also have a keen interest in learning new skills and thus improving my studio a bit, hoping that I find benefit in Nostr more than I did on Flote. I do various activities, I draw art sometimes but mostly do 3D art and animation now. It has also become an onus on me that I need to either use royalty-free music for my future projects (videos that is), and/or make my own music, which I've been slowly progressing on. Either way, I like to continue this work even if and when if SHTF come 2025 or 2030, it won't matter for as long as I make my living off the so-called promise that is Bitcoin.
But to make up for the time, I decided to do a co-op stream with a buddy of mine, beginning our milestone of our Borderlands 1-2 marathon run, that includes all DLC missions. Yeah, I have a passion for gaming as others had, much like PewDiePie, Markiplier, etc., but those are big time YT celebrities. I don't even need to go that far. No, I do not want to be rich and famous like these people, I only find my true success doing all this underground. That's how I do it, that's the road I'm taking.
Anyway, I suppose it is a privilege meeting some of you. Some may be friends, some may be enemies, the usual trend of life, that I'm sure. Though I like to keep my "enemies" list smaller than the friends I hope to make. And for the record, I am looking to build a community of my own... May as well start here...
