Yes, and I think following the Haldane judgement in Scotland, the situation in the UK is in a rather precarious limbo.
Haldane seems to think that "sex" in UK legislation means the nonsensical concept "legally acquired sex". Her judgement though (as I understand it - again IANAL) was in a relatively low court and doesn't set precedent.
But it does show that we have a potential disaster lurking... if someone pushes this up to higher courts who set precedent, or Labour amends primary legislation (which wouldn't surprise me) we could end up with a situation where Beira's place became illegal.
