I think some people get mad when they don’t know someone‘s assigned gender at birth because they don’t know whether they should treat someone like a man or like a woman. They treat men and women differently and it makes them physically uncomfortable for someone not to be performing the “right” gender because they don’t know whether to be shitty to them or not.
