Many professionals (journos, scientists, experts) want to communicate their work trough social media to large audience. But then they mess their channel with personal (what I did today) stuff intended for friends or people who are interested their person.
Twitter has algorithm that solves part of this, but in mastodon you cant follow 200 professionals without drowning into fluff.
