Some autistic people can in fact handle eye contact rather well, and being able to does not invalidate your other experiences.
The same thing applies to every trait commonly associated with autism. I picked that one because that has been a huge cause of imposter syndrome for me, but your experience will likely be a bit different, and that's okay.
