To be libelous (not slander) someone would have to knowingly state something that’s false as if it were a fact. E.g. AC has been convicted on 10 counts of forced sodomy. It’s not true, I know it’s not true and it brings his overall standing in community down. But if I just say he’s a Nazi that’s just my opinion.
