FWIW, I've been running Linux Mint Cinnamon (64-bit) as the primary operating system on my home desktop for a couple of months now, and I'm really happy with it. Using a combination of Wine, Lutris, PlayOnLinux, Heroic, and Steam, I've yet to find a Windows application or game that I can't get to run... often better than it ran on Windows.
It might be worthwhile for you to try. Just a thought. 🙂
