Emeritus Prof Christopher May on Nostr: In what might be a parallel to the UK, Spain is seeing high(er) levels of GDP growth ...
In what might be a parallel to the UK, Spain is seeing high(er) levels of GDP growth than many developed countries, but the rise in GDP-per-capita is lagging, suggesting much of the growth in output is related to migrants arriving for wrk in Spain rather than any increases in productivity.
This form of growth, although at a lower level, may also be what is happening in the UK, given both the continued dependence on migrant workers & lacklustre productivity growth.
