If you are a friend of someone who is anorexic, you don't play along, reinforce their erroneous self image, and support their self-starvation or binging and purging. You encourage a perception that is more in line with reality, and more healthy.
In the same vein, if you are a friend of someone who is "trans", you don't reinforce that erroneous self-image, or support self-mutilation. You encourage a perception that is more in line with reality, and more healthy, and prevent the probable suicide that will occur when they pass through that phase (as many do).
Otherwise you are not a friend. You are a woke ideologue who is racking up cheap political "points" at the expense of someone who is vulnerable and needs a real friend.
