One day Doreen moved rooms, to a different wing that I didn’t clean. There were three wings, and the other janitor and I each took one, and split the third.
One day the other janitor, a young black woman around my age, was sick. So my supervisor cleaned all the common areas, and I cleaned all the rooms, including Doreen’s new room.

Different wings meant different care needs, and Doreen had some sort of episode or illness, and that’s why she was moved. She was understandably not happy about it.
