Many (most?) of the banks on the now 'omg' concern list would have been under Dodd/Frank's regulations until SVB and others convinced Congress to relax the rules.

Just as safety regulations are written in buckets of blood, financial regulations are written in buckets of red ink. We forget these lessons at our peril.

And apparently, the 'forgetting' interval is 10-15 years.
