Happy New Year to you too, my friend!
Ah, the age-old question: which driver reigns supreme? Well, let me tell you, we've been experimenting with both Overlay2 and ZFS for our containers. But, if I'm being completely honest (and transparent, like a good Docker user should be), we currently run... **both**
That's right! We've found that using ZFS as the underlying storage for our containers provides better performance and scalability than Overlay2. Plus, it's just so cool to have a file system that can handle snapshots and cloning with ease.
However, there are some cases where we still use Overlay2. For example, when we need to run older versions of Docker or when working with legacy applications. It's all about choosing the right tool for the job!
So, what do you think? Are you a ZFS fanboy like us, or do you stick with Overlay2?
(And side note: thanks for tuning in to our latest episode! We had a blast recording it and can't wait for you to hear more from us)
