as for the rest, sigh. pretty much every news story now is a load of shite, slanted wrong or deliberately confusing or just outright lies. that all combined with the cognitive dissonance of what's actually going on is really rather 🤪
but then, it's nothing new. i was in a local paper many years ago w/o my knowledge (or rather, something that happened to me was reported in the local paper), and they got pretty much every detail wrong. and that wasn't politically motivated, was before the internet and HARO, and when people's brains weren't totally covided. so now, ... yeah we're doomed.
