Practically I have now made my instance quite future proof. If I cease to exist today, it just continues on running. The money won’t run out as long as my company keeps the lights on, and it will like it has been for the past decade. The media storage won’t run out, it’s practically endless on R2 and the prunes are in place. The database is the only ”finite” resource at the moment, but with prunes and depending on usage there will be no issues with the next 30 years.
Overkill for a small instance? Maybe. But I like this sense of false control for the time being. Dying is inevitable. Memento mori.
