hello #international fedi and #cooking enthusiasts. i am in need of RECIPES.
you see, i am no longer eating gluten because, as it turns out, that stuff is why i’ve been sick for a decade. i am also poor so i can’t just replace all the gluten things with pricy gluten-free alternatives.
but i know that wheat is mostly a europe and west asia thing. much of the rest of the world has other staple foods. so this is what i need.
i need base recipes. the simple stuff. a bit more interesting than "cook rice or millet with water" or "put potato in oven until good" but still simple. basically, where europeans eat bread with cheese or whatever, what would be eaten in other places that don’t grow wheat? but also i’m vegan (vegetarian by choice and no dairy because my body hates it) so anything with meat or dairy is disqualified unless the ingredient is easily replaceable.
i need to figure out what my new staple foods are going to be, because it used to be "bread with stuff on it" and "pizza" and "lasagna" and "vegan schnitzel" and "cereal" and literally all of these are off the table now.
so please tell me. what can i eat every single day for the rest of my life?
