The levels of RE7 were beautiful & it was fun rummaging around for stuff and exploring but it feels like the game kinda actively disincentives that.
Because ammo is so scarce and enemies are so frequent and there isn't any stealth mechanics, I don't want to actually rummage around and explore I want to just get to the objective as quickly as possible so my resources don't run out.
And thats not really great?
I feel like the appeal of the game is traipsing around in the dark searching for solutions of what to do next while you slowly uncover the story though the lil notes and things until you get to the big bosses but to be really stocked for the bosses and to make it through the levels you kinda have to rush past everything
